INTERCEPT® Fibrinogen Complex Experience in Cardiac Surgery at UVA
Timely administration of fibrinogen and other key clotting factors is essential to controlling hemorrhage, yet access to fibrinogen sources (such as cryo AHF and fibrinogen concentrates) can be challenging given their long wait times and short shelf life.
This webinar discusses the importance of fibrinogen replacement in cardiac surgery, the difference between INTERCEPT® Fibrinogen Complex (IFC), cryo AHF and fibrinogen concentrates, and UVA Health’s experience with IFC, including how IFC’s immediate availability* is improving patient access and impacting patient care.
