UF Health Shands’ Experience to Date with INTERCEPT® Fibrinogen Complex (IFC)
Presented during the AABB Science and Innovation Forum:
Benefits of Early Fibrinogen Supplementation in Hemorrhage Treatment and Experience with Pathogen Reduced Cryoprecipitated Fibrinogen Complex (INTERCEPT® Fibrinogen Complex)
Hospitals across the U.S. are implementing Pathogen Reduced Cryoprecipitated Fibrinogen Complex, also known as INTERCEPT® Fibrinogen Complex (IFC), to ensure an enriched source of fibrinogen, factor XIII, vWF, and other constituents is ready to transfuse immediately* when minutes matter. Michael Passwater from UF Health Shands Hospital presents their IFC experience to date and how IFC’s 5-day post-thaw shelf life helps them achieve their treatment goals.
